Natural ways to support immunity
We often talk about the importance of supporting the immune system, because immunity is the first shield of defense, and our well-being depends on its strength. How to strengthen the immune system without the services of pharmaceutical companies? There are certain ways, of course.
Nutrition
The vitamins, trace elements and nutrients the human body receives through nutrition. The basis of strong immunity is the regular consumption of vegetables and fruits, a sufficient amount of protein and fat. With a nutritional deficiency, the immune system weakens, therefore, choosing a diet, monitor the composition of the consumed dishes.
Herbal teas
Tea made from chamomile, linden, St. John’s wort, peppermint and other things perfectly strengthen the immune system. And if you add to this drink a slice of ginger and lemon, as well as a spoonful of natural honey, this will protect the body from colds and will not allow the immune system to “sag”. You can brew herbs in a thermos and drink the broth throughout the day in small portions.
Pine Drink
A decoction of pine needles has amazing healing properties. It is prepared simply – pine needles in a small amount, a handful or two, boil for 20-30 minutes, let it brew and drink in small cups with honey and lemon. Pine needles can be collected by yourself, but only in a clean forest. If this is not possible, needles can be purchased at pharmacies.
Cold and hot shower
You will be surprised, but this simple and affordable way works wonders! The combination of hot water, then cold is a kind of internal massage for our blood vessels. Thus, in just a few minutes, blood circulation is accelerated and an impetus is created for many processes. A cold shower is ideal in the morning when you need to wake up and feel cheerful.
The state of fatigue after waking up is a huge problem of our time, when chronic fatigue becomes an invariable life partner. It’s not enough to sleep for eight hours to wake up rested. It turns out that even after a good sleep, people get up in a bad mood. And this is one of the symptoms of chronic fatigue. A contrast shower is a great way to cheer up, improve metabolism and start your immune system. There are several options for a healing shower:
- Classic, when after a hot stream immediately turn on the cold, and not for a few seconds, but for 2-3 minutes. You need to prepare for this, starting with just a few seconds, gradually increasing the time.
- The contrast of hot and cold water, several repetitions.
This very simple way, becoming an everyday habit, can work wonders: even in the midst of acute respiratory viral infections, the body hardened by cold water is not susceptible to debilitating colds, the blood vessels become elastic, the pores are narrowed and the general tone increases. And all this without expensive medications and dietary supplements.
Soda and lemon
It’s hard to call these products a panacea, but still. Alkali is an essential element for health. It is very simple to deliver it to the body – drink water with lemon juice and soda (mineral). The problem is that we constantly “acidify” the body, forgetting about balance. Therefore, tea with lemon, water with a few drops of lemon concentrate, alkaline mineral water (if there are no contraindications from the gastrointestinal tract!) With daily intake can significantly strengthen the immune system.
Walks
Walking is easy. Even if you are not a fan of sports, jogging and exercise, five kilometers a day can become a norm. Do not be afraid of this number! It just seems like some kind of unrealistic distance. In fact, a housewife in the kitchen is able to “trample” the treasured kilometers during the day. Get a tracker – now this is a very affordable purchase – and start counting the steps. Set the norm in eight thousand steps, although the Ministry of Health recommends 10 thousand, and analyze your activity. In a month, even 10 thousand will become “tight” to you – you will want to walk more and further. And do not forget to drink water, because this is also an important step towards strengthening immunity!
